NewsCCTV Upgrades Autodesk Tools Broadcast Engineering In preparation for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, China Central Television (CCTV) purchased a range of Autodesk products which will be used “in the creation of promo packages, network IDs and show opens for CCTV channels.” The network, which has owned Autodesk’s Discreet Flint and Discreet Flame systems since 1994, purchased two more Discreet Flame visual effects systems, two Discreet Smoke editing/finishing systems, Autodesk Combustion desktop compositing software, Autodesk 3ds Max animation software, and Autodesk Backdraft media management solution.
