Svalinstudio will initially focus on targeting industrial designers and modellers in the UK. In the long term, it plans to extend its coverage in Europe and to build on its links with global car manufacturers by establishing Japanese and American branches.

Alias Design Manufacturing Solutions Channel Manager for the Northern Region, says: “We were attracted to working with Svalinstudio because its management team has extensive experience of industrial and more specifically automotive design software. We believe that Svalinstudio’s breadth of expertise in this area will enable us to expand the use of our solutions within the automotive design world and support the seamless integration of our software tools across the whole design process.”

Phil Botley, Design Director, Svalinstudio says: “Autodesk has always provided excellent support for its resellers. We will benefit from access to this support; to Autodesk’s installed base of customers and to its extensive range of high-quality design software tools.”

Svalinstudio is based in Leicester close to the industrial heartlands of the UK’s automotive industry. It has partnerships in place with educational establishments in the area including Coventry University, enabling it to offer specialised training courses. Botley adds: “Our ultimate objective is to become the partner of choice for Autodesk in this sector. We aim to establish ourselves as a large value added reseller for industrial design solutions, which Autodesk can call on globally.
