Insufast Accelerates Innovation and Reduces Time to Market with Autodesk Digital Prototyping Software

German Insulation Solutions Provider, Insufast Becomes Latest Manufacturer to Join Clean Tech Partner Program

FARNBOROUGH, UK, February 24, 2011 - Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) has announced that German manufacturer, insu-fast, which produces bespoke home insulating solutions, has become the latest early stage technology company to join the Autodesk Clean Tech Partner Program

Insu-fast, based in Neutraubling and Landsberg/Queis, Germany, has developed an innovative, environmentally-friendly insulation system for residential buildings. Since joining the Clean Tech Partner Program, the company has been using AutoCAD Architecture from Autodesk to create highly-accurate models of customers’ houses and use these to identify the solution most closely fitted to their needs. This information is then fed into insu-fast’s production line, which makes its design-to-production process fast and efficient.

“We are the first company to produce, sell and install these insulation systems using this process,” said Dr. Joachim Ruß, managing director of insu-fast. “AutoCAD Architecture is not only robust and reliable; it makes the work we do easy and fast.”

“Autodesk Digital Prototyping technology enables innovation by allowing clean tech companies to digitally design, visualise and simulate how planned processes and products will work under real-world conditions before they are built and installed,” said Erwin Burth, business development manager for Clean Tech at Autodesk.

“The appeal of our offering to companies to tackle the world’s most urgent environmental challenges is evident as more and more start-ups join our programme.”
