Data Management for the AEC sector: the BIM 360 concept

Data Management for the AEC sector: the BIM 360 Concept

When: 5 December 2011, 10:00-11:00 GMT
Presenter: Ives Veelaert

BIM 360 is Autodesk’s vision for collaboration and data management within and across AEC disciplines.
BIM 360 provides AEC project teams with a complete, accurate, digital view of their project. In other words, through this concept, we help you manage the ‘I’ in BIM and during this webinar, we will explain how our different tools and data management can help you in improving collaboration on a building project.

Asset management for water utilities

Asset management for water utilities

When: 9 December 2011, 11:00-12:00 GMT

BIM 360 is Autodesk’s vision for collaboration and data management within and across AEC disciplines.
In the winter of 2010/11, tens of thousands of households across Ireland and areas of the UK were left without running water due to burst pipes in freezing conditions. The reality is that there is a huge network of aging infrastructure beneath the ground across Europe, much of which is not effectively documented or managed.

This webinar will outline Autodesk’s solutions to asset management for water networks. It will highlight the importance of effective data management disciplines, using a combination of spatial data modelling and best practices based on the Building Information Modelling (BIM) process.

Infrastructure Solutions from Autodesk

Infrastructure Solutions from Autodesk

When: 15 December 2011, 10:00-11:00 GMT
Presenter: John Allen
This session will explore the range of solutions available from Autodesk for the planning, design, construction and management of infrastructure assets such as roads, railways and utility networks. Using the over-riding process of Building Information Modelling (BIM) as a guiding principal, the solutions shown will provide insight into the way in which various data sources can be used to ensure intelligent decisions are made at the early stages of an infrastructure project, avoiding costly errors and promoting stakeholder buy-in throughout. Crucial to BIM is the concept of adopting a single model with multiple uses, so the session will also explore the ways in which this data can be used downstream in the project to drive model creation, provide accurate documentation and plan construction schedules. It will also provide an overview of the components available in Autodesk’s Infrastructure Design suites as well as introducing some exciting new additions to the portfolio for conceptual design and utility planning. Infrastructure is a big focus for us at Autodesk at the moment so come along and see what all the fuss is about!

BIM for Infrastructure - Roundabout Design, Simulation and Analysis

Solutions for 3d roundabout design

When: 21 September 2011
Presenters: Jack Strongitharm
This is a presentation to show how a new integrated design BIM workflow for roundabout design can be carried out in real-time.
Using Arcady (TRL), AutoTRACK Junction (Savoy) and AutoCAD Civil 3D (Autodesk) in combination, this enables the designer to design, simulate and analyse at the same time.

Autodesk Solutions for 3D & Conceptual City Design

Autodesk Solutions for 3D and Conceptual City Design

When: 23 September 2011
Presenters: Neil Brooker & Simon Gillis
This webinar will take you through the process of rapidly visualising city design proposals for large areas or small site developments alike. Models can be developed using existing geospatial and detailed design data to give real world context to proposals. Place your building information model in its proper context, conceptualise services and infrastructure, propose alternatives and share your plans with stakeholders. Rapidly.

Solutions for Buildings & Design Visualisation

When: 28 October 2011
Presenter: Jerker Hagglund.

See how 3ds Max Design helps architects and designers to understand and communicate how projects work before they’re built. We will have a look at how we can explore unique forms and shapes, validate our design in form of line of sight studies, animated walk-throughs and daylight analysis, and communicate our design intent for faster buy-in and client approval with photorealistic renderings and animations.

Autodesk Solutions for Surveying

Autodesk Solutions for Surveying

When: 15 November 2011
Presenter: Jack Strongitharm.

The Autodesk survey solution comes in the form of AutoCAD Civil 3D with its integrated survey engine for importing raw survey observations, producing a 3D map with survey line work and points. Creation of contours, sections, incorporating mapping and aerial photography, AutoCAD Civil 3D is a complete survey solution. This webinar will take you through the steps of importing data from a number of sources through to the creation of the final deliverable.
