Automation in Construction, Webinar
Description
Construction is the last industry, after agriculture, manufacturing and mining, that continues to throw thousands of people at a problem, with chronically low productivity, often working in physically and mentally challenging conditions. The time has come to apply the learning from other sectors and vastly increase productivity in both the design and delivery of assets, using the best digital tools and manufacturing processes that are now available.
During the session you will learn about:
- The barriers that have prevented us from making the shift from 'construction' to 'manufacturing' before;
- How we can harness the benefits of standardisation without relinquishing individuality and quality of design;
- How we need to change the design process to realise these benefits;
- What this might mean for the 'construction site' of the future.
Who should attend:
Director or manager or practitioner - anyone in building or infrastructure design or construction responsible for strategy, operations, projects, business development functions.
Speakers:
Jaimie Johnston, Board Director, Head of Global Systems at Bryden Wood
